Small libraries in rural areas of Russe region, Bulgaria, are increasing the level of financial literacy of citizens 50+ as part of the piloting training within FINLIT project. Six adults successfully graduated Basic level of Financial literacy course in Chitalishte library of Marten and Chitalishte library of Samardzievo.

Nine librarians were certified as adult trainers in FINLIT program from the region of Russe in North Bulgaria. They successfully accomplished the training program as part of the project piloting stage and today launched the training of adults in their libraries.
Each librarian will train a group of 3-5 people selected after public invitation for library users. Some of the participants accomplished ICT course in advance, others are new trainees, but all eager to start the financial adventure on FINLIT platform guided by their librarians.

Two days training as part of the piloting of FINLIT project in Bulgaria was organised on 19-20 April in the Regional Library "Lyuben Karavelov"- Russe. It was a privilege for the Bulgarian expert team to see the whole piloting group together after the long online sessions period in the previous months.
Ten librarians from the regional libraries and the small libraries were trained as trainers in FINLIT program. Since they all successfully accomplished the financial program, a small awarding ceremony was conducted and they received their certificates with applause from the other piloting groups in Poland, Roumania and Slovenia.
